Even though Citibank is well known for the balance transfer credit cards, theyve decided to launch a new line of cards, designed to attract consumers interest in earning rewards. The Citi ThankYou(SM) Premier Card aims to do just that.
Kicking off things, the Citi ThankYou(SM) Premier Card offers cardholders a 50,000 point bonus after $2,000 is spent during the first three months, good enough to redeem for a $500 gift card of your choice through the Citi ThankYou® rewards program, or $665 in Airfare.
Redeeming points for airfare nets cardholders a 33% more value for your ThankYou Points when they are redeemed through the ThankYou Travel Center (hence the ability to redeem 20,000 points for a $500 gift card or $665 in airfare).
You can also earn additional Citi ThankYou Points depending on your purchases:

Beyond the standard rewards program, cardholders will also receive an anniversary bonus, dependent on how long theyve been a cardholder of the Citi ThankYou(SM) Premier Card. For example, if you earned 100,000 ThankYou® points the first year you owned the card, you would receive a 1% bonus of 1,000 points. The longer you own the card, the larger the bonus, all the way up to 5% (When you own the card for 4+ years). You wont be able to retire from this benefit, but every little bit helps.

This card offers solid rewards, especially for frequent travelers as it offers a complimentary domestic companion ticket and international travelers do not pay foreign transaction fees on purchases. The only downside is an annual fee of $125.
The Citi ThankYou(SM) Premier Card isnt for everyone and should only be considered by consumers who use their credit cards often enough to take advantage of the rewards program.
